Happy New Year! It's the first Friday of a new year and I had to start with the beautiful imagery of the January 2025 Kit of the Month: Kinda Made for Each Other. Once again, Unity has a page full of amazing artistry to create beautiful cards and other paper crafts. I was instantly in love with with these two images and had an idea...
I started by stamping the older couple using Copic friendly black ink. Before coloring them in, I used a kraft colored ink and stamped the younger couple over them. You could mask the older couple, but I opted to go old school.
Using slightly darker colors for the older couple, I colored them in to hide any lines from the younger couples shadow. I used similar, but very light colors to color the younger couple, trying not to fill it out to much so that it has a ghostly look.
I couldn't see covering any of this up with a sentiment, but felt the images were strong enough to tell their story. So I used the largest Postage Nesting Die to die cut the image and then used Distress ink on the edges to create an old photo look.
