The Key to Joy

Happy Friday! Today we're making a simple card that is fun and easy to make! And this card was inspired by the recent announcement by our very dear friend Tim Holtz who is stepping down from designing products to savor the joy in just crafting. His video definitely resonated a little with me. As a design team member, we are usually working with the next new stamp... which is awesome. Don't get me wrong! I love it! But to Tim's point, you tend to miss out on the joy of all the goodies you have in your stash. Sooooo... let's dive into this card where I used some items that I haven't used in a while!

Tim's video reminded me to pull out some of my older products that maybe I had overlooked because I had moved on to. the latest thing. So while I love happy mail and getting new goodies, I really do love a lot of what I have and I need to ink it up!  So here's what I used:

I had so many intentions with these Squared Impressions stamps because they are so versatile, but put them aside to get to the new stuff... but not this week! Let's use these squares to show some love. Paired with a heart die, this instantly becomes a Valentine.

I wanted to keep this simple to highlight the squares, but also, to use some of my scraps. I pulled out some old red velum (I totally forgot I even had that! This is when a project usually gets derailed and I start something else.) and some craft paper from my scrap stash.

Last, I trimmed off a simple sentiment and added foam tape behind it for a little dimension. Super simple and fun!  And so easy to recreate for so many different occasions.

Thank you so much for much for stopping by and I hope you find some inspiration to craft with the old and the new goodies in your craft room. Make time to create and find your joy!

Until next time... Happy Crafting!
