Stencil Series - Drippy Butterfly

Writer's picture: JulesJules

Hey crafty friends! It's Saturday and for this entire month I'll be highlighting some of my favorite stencils by A Creative Life Designs as a guest designer. Today, I'm kicking things off with no one, but TWO cards using the Drippy Butterfly stencil.

This beautiful stencil has so much potential! I used both cuts to create different cards. So I started by taking the actual drippy butterfly using it to mask a spot on the card. I used three different shades of purple Distress ink: Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord.

Once the colors are blended, add a little splatter and then remove the stencil. Now it's time to stamp on it. I paired this beautiful stencil with the Stampers Anonymous Stamp & Stencil set - THMM115 using Shadow Grey Archival ink. I added a butter fly die by Alexandra Renke and some flat sequins. Now, let's see the next card.

Using the outline of the stencil, I used the same Distress ink colors and used some of the ink to splatter the background. Using the same stamp set and Archival Shadow Grey ink, I stamped all the card front.

This time, I used the outline of the butterfly stamp, a Tim Holtz sticker sentiment and some of those flat sequins to complete this card.

Head over to grab this beautiful stencil and so many more at A Colorful Life Designs and make sure to share your work on their Facebook page and tag them on social media using the @a_colorful_life_designs or #acolorfullifedesigns .

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you found some inspiration! Stay tuned for more Saturday Stencils with A Colorful Life Designs and me!
