Happy Friday everyone! I hope you've had a great week and have a forecast of some crafts for the weekend. This is Jules of Paper Gems by Jules here on the blog today sharing a couple of cards I made using a couple of pieces of pretty Unity Paper that I got with my Kit of the Month. When you subscribe to Unity's Kit of the Month, each month you get not only a full sheet of amazing stamps, but you also get some craft goodies like patterned paper, tags or embellishments. So this week I opted to put a couple of pieces to use and they were perfect with the "Everything More" stamp set.
So I recently received these two pieces of patterned paper from Unity. These patterns are part of the "Grow. Evolve. Transform." paper pack. It was also included in the April 2020 Whit Kit, but you can also buy them separately now.
The first card I made was a sympathy card. The sentiments in the Everything More stamp set fit perfectly into the pretty shape that makes for perfect labels for your cards. Going back to basics, I just tore the edge and found some similar color paper to pair it with.
For the second card, I used the thank you sentiment. This time I used the patterned paper horizontally and stenciled the periwinkle card stock to add a little more dimension.
Both cards have a little dimension with foam squares behind the sentiment. For an added tip, if you'd like to create a shadow piece behind the sentiment simply stamp the image and cut it out with a border. If it's glitter paper, stamp the back of the glitter paper and cut it out from behind, you'll still get the same shape!
Thanks so much for stopping by and remember that you can make quick and easy cards using your Unity Patterned Paper scraps and some simple sentiments!
Until next time...
Happy Crafting!
