Hi everyone! It's sneak peek week and I'm starting off with this incredibly adorable "Friendly Koalas" stamp set. This set features three adorable little characters that are sure to brighten anyone's day!
For, this card, I wanted to use everything! LOL. I started by coloring the background by using the "Bamboo" stencil. Now the stencil is only 6" x 6", so how do you use it on a slimline? (See below.) First you place the stencil over the bottom part, covering as much as you can. Next, you move the stencil to the top and line them up as best you can, and mask the spots that don't line up. You can also flip and rotate the stencil for the best alignment.
Next, I pulled out some slimline dies (Trinity Stamps: Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows) and even made it into a shaker. By die cutting the three squares, I was able to create three perfect spots for each character and add some fun sequins from the new "Wicked Good" Sassy Pack.
I used Warm Grey Copic markers to color these cuties. To add texture, I used a dot coloring method and even used a white gel pen to add a little more detail.
Lastly, in order to add another layer that matched the colors of the koalas, I used a Warm Grey Copics on the border of the layer and and added the shaker layer to that before adhering it to the white slimline card base.
Oh... and I almost forgot. It was only after I had put the whole card together that I realized I hadn't used a sentiment. So I put the card in my Misti and stamped the sentiments. Because of all the foam tape for the shaker, it was tall enough to not use the foam base in the Misti.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're as excited about this new release as I am... and stay tuned because there's A LOT of fun stuff in store for you Sassy & Crafty friends!
Until next time...
Have a Sassy & Crafty day!
Jules
