Happy Friday, my Unity Friends! It's Jules of Paper Gems by Jules here to share a little about my crafting struggle and how this card will hopefully get me back on track.
If you're anything like me, you love to make cards... but maybe they all don't make it into the mail. I always have intentions to send them out. I make many for specific people or events, but for some reason, I get overwhelmed and don't do it. Well, with all that is going on these days, I think sending cards is more important than ever. This beautiful "Stay in Touch" stamp set is the perfect way to send that paper hug someone needs right now.
Making this card, I used an autumn themed paper pack from my stash and pulled three different patterned papers. I die cut the tag using a Hero Arts Nesting Tag dies and one of the patterned sheets. Next, I stamped the mail box with Momento ink. I colored the image using Copic markers and then put the tag back in my Misti Stamping Tool and restamped it using VersaFine Clair Nocturne and added the sentiment "stay in touch." By using the VersaFine Clair after coloring with Copics, I'm able to get the most bold black and not ruin my markers.
Using some rose gold paper and some scraps of yarn, I layered this beautiful paper and put this paper hug together, ready to send with love. Let's use our card making superpower to send hugs around the world. There are many people struggling to navigate through these times and your creativity can surely brighten their dark day. Post your cards before you mail them to help support the cause and feel free to tag me and use #mailedit with your post. Let's inspire others with our small acts of kindness.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you find some inspiration not only to create, but to spread some love with your creativity... and mail those cards out.
Until next time, have a crafty day!
Jules
