Hi everyone! Sympathy cards can be some of the most challenging cards to make. They are emotional and personal in a time where you might not want to create. This new stamp set "In Sympathy" (release date July 17th) and stencil "Tree" can combine to make an easy and touching card for anyone going through a hard time.
This card was made using one sentiment from the "In Sympathy" stamp set, the "Tree" stencil and inks. I first laid down the stencil and used a light shade of green. I shifted the stencil over and used a darker green. This gave the illusion of trees at different distances.
Next, using a brown ink, I stamped the sentiment from the "In Sympathy" stamp set. Once I knew that ink was completely dry, I added a light blue ink blending it closer to the trees. I then used a darker blue and blended it just in the top 1/3 of the card front. Last, I took a lighter brown in and brushed it on the edge of the entire card front.
Last steps... die cut, add some twine ribbon and adhere to a card base. Super easy to make and the moving sentiment makes this paper hug perfect for that friend in need. I hope you find some inspiration in this blog and don't forget to share your creations on the Sassy & Crafty Inspiration Club on Facebook.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Sassy & Crafty day!
