Happy Friday, Unies! Today I'm sharing a fun way to use all the fun, new crafty supplies you bought from the last sale. Yes, let's use them ALL!
I love Unity sales; I mean, who doesn't! So I decided to add some fun patterned paper and the new dies to my cart. And when I saw the colors of the "Kindness is Magic" paper pack I knew I wanted to pair it with the June Kit of the Month girl. These vibrant colors were perfect for some summertime paper piecing.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Unity Stamp Company June 2021 Kit of the Month: Magical Summer Days
Dies: Unity Stamp Company: Chic Script Salutations & Trinity Stamps: Slimline Center Burst Die
Ink: Copic Markers
Embellishments: Nuvo Glitter Gloss Pen
I started by stamping the image on two different patterned papers from the "Kindness is Magic" paper pack. I fussy cut the pieces of the shirt and the purse out and colored in the edges with black. so they'd blend in with the stamped image. Next, I stamped the girl on white card stock and fussy cut her out really close to the edge.
Time to get inky... I colored her skin, jeans and hat with Copic markers. There was no need to color her shirt or bag as those would be covered with patterned paper. I also die cut the back ground using a the vibrant yellow patterned paper to give a sunshine look and used a light teal patterned paper in the background as the sky. Getting that summer vibe yet?
I also die cut the large "hello" of the new "Chic Script Salutations" die set three times out of white card stock and colored the top layer with a red Copic marker that would match the red on her shirt and lips. Using the shadow die for the "hello," I die cut it out of velum and layered them together for a bold sentiment.
A little foam tape and some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer over the sentiment and this card is ready to brighten someone's day! Don't you just love when all your crafty supplies come together to make pretty things?!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you found some inspiration for your next crafty adventure.
Until next time... Happy Crafting!
