Clearly, I Love Whimsy Stamps!

It's always exciting when you find a new stamp company that you just love. Clearly Whimsy Stamps happened to be one that's been around for 10 years... but it's totally new to me. Boy have I been missing out.

I stumbled across their new line recently because of my love of dog themed stamps. The sets "An Unbreakable Bond" and "Soul Mutts" were so beautiful. The images were delicate and the sentiments were meaningful. I had to have them... and maybe a few more.

It was love at first stamp! My first card was a simple scene using Tim Holtz Distress Ink on watercolor paper. I created what seemed to be a winter scene based on the colors. And with minimal background, the card comes to life using a vivid "fired brick"color on the little girl's dress and hat.

For my second card, I used two different types of coloring mediums. I used Arteza Real Brush Pens to color in the characters. I masked those images carefully, and then proceeded to use my Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create a gentle scene for these little friends to enjoy. By using a stitched frame die, I cut into the actual colored image and layer the border to give the feel of a shadow box. I absolutely love the shadowing in the dress, on the ground and from the frame.

I am a huge dog lover and these stamp sets are just so warm. I can't wait to make more cards with them.
