Building on a Background

Hey crafty friends! Today I'm sharing some really cool backgrounds stamps that were released this week. These two may just be my new favorites: Love & Wisdom Background and Topography Background. These backgrounds can be paired with so many other stamps and here are just two examples that came to mind:

Let's start with this beautiful script background. It's gorgeous and can be stamped on thin paper and made to look vintage or like in this example, you can tear it to make it look like a torn page. I paired this background with Sparklie Beth Girl of the Unity Girls line. The script background adds another level of romance to this card.

Because the background was so pretty, I didn't want to cover it with a sentiment so I found a large "love" die from the Inspirational Life Sentiments die set that was perfect for an upcoming bridal shower.

For the next background, it's all about traveling... or maybe not being able to travel.

These days traveling isn't as easy as it once was, so we find ourselves driving to destinations versus flying. And this background inspired a paper hug to someone you'd love to visit, but struggling to get to. I paired the Topography Background stamp with Take Pride in Your Journey stamp set. To color in the background, I used some distress inks in earth tones. Again, because I really like the background, I opted to use the Here's a Hug die for the sentiment.

And to add a little fun to this card, I adhered the car onto an action wobbler! Fun, right?!

I hope you found some inspiration with these new background stamps and how to mix and match some of you stamps! Until next time...

Happy Crafting!
